First Lady Makes Special ‘Child Health Day’ Appearance on ‘Doc McStuffins’

Through the Let’s Move! initiative, First Lady Michelle Obama has made the health and well-being of America’s children a top priority of her time in the White House, dedicating countless efforts to ensuring that future generations think differently about food and nutrition.

It’s only fitting that today on Child Health Day, the First Lady will make a special appearance on Disney Junior’s Peabody Award-winning Doc McStuffins, in which Doc will be appointed the official “toy doctor” for the White House. Titled “Doc McStuffins Goes to Washington,” the episode incorporates key messages surrounding the Let’s Move! initiative.

Let’s Move! is dedicated to solving the problem of obesity within a generation, allowing today’s children to grow up healthier and happier. It’s about putting children on the path to a healthy future during their earliest months and years, giving parents helpful information and fostering environments that support healthy choices, providing healthier foods in our schools, ensuring that every family has access to healthy, affordable food and helping children become more physically active.

Catch the First Lady on this special episode today at 9 a.m. on Disney Channel.
