ESPN Digital Media Reaches 94 Million Fans in September

With a seamless, multi-platform experience, ESPN reaches millions of viewers and fans on their mobile devices every day. September marked new digital milestones for the network as it reached a record-setting 94 million unique visitors in the U.S. alone. In looking at last year’s totals, that’s a 29 percent increase.

But what types of information are mobile users looking for? With the growing popularity of ESPN Fantasy Football and coverage of the NFL, MLB pennant races and college football, fans are heading to ESPN on their smartphones and tablets more than ever to get the latest news and information, and to catch up on all the latest sports action.

On mobile devices alone, 70.1 million unique users accessed ESPN content during September, setting a category record for mobile reach. Alongside that milestone, 47.8 million people visited ESPN.com via smartphones and tablets, and fans spent a staggering 9.9 billion minutes using ESPN digital properties—another category record and up 36 percent from a year ago.
