Disney Ranks High Among World’s Most Admired Companies

Considered the definitive report card on corporate reputations, Fortune magazine’s World’s Most Admired Companies rankings recently named The Walt Disney Company No. 7 out of the top 50 global firms, up from No. 9 in 2013, and No. 1 once again in the Entertainment category. “The famed storytellers at Walt Disney had a breakout year in 2013,” the magazine reports, specifically calling out Walt Disney Animation Studio’s latest animated feature Frozen.

In other categories, Disney ranked No. 1 in social responsibility, use of corporate assets and global competitiveness; No. 2 in people management and No. 8 in long-term investment.Fortune‘s rankings are published each year and reflect the observations and opinions of executives, directors and analysts from a total of 692 companies in 30 countries.
