Disney Professional Interns Discuss Their Key Role in Technology Projects and Innovation

Technology is at the forefront in fueling innovation at The Walt Disney Company, and our tech interns play a key role in keeping those wheels turning.

To help showcase what it’s like to work as a technology intern at Disney, representatives of our internship program from across multiple business segments including Corporate, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media, ESPN, Walt Disney Imagineering, and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Technology recently came together for a special Google Hangout. The event was themed to Technology; interns answered questions—live from social media—and discussed all things tech, as well as what a day in the life of a Disney intern really looks like. The hangout was moderated by Stephanie, a current technology employee from Disney|ABC Television Group who joined the Company through its professional internship program.

Throughout the Hangout, the interns elaborated on the ways they contribute directly to Company projects and innovation, applying the skills they’ve learned inside and outside of the classroom. They use their expertise to help design websites, develop mobile apps and games, create process efficiencies, and so much more.

The opportunities to fuel innovation don’t just happen at a computer. Disney Professional Interns are able to expand their Company knowledge and networks while exploring career paths across all of our business segments through intern events and programming such as segment speaker series, panel events, backstage tours, socials, and more.
